Join us at Glenwood Community Center (located at 722 East 9th St in Panama City) on August 30th for the community BBQ featuring a Red Velvet Cake Contest!
Cakes must be submitted on Aug. 30th between 11A - 1P
Judging will take place at 1:30 PM
Cakes should be meduim sized, the layers uniform in size, light in weight, straight sides, free from cracks, peaks and bulges with level or rounded top. The coloring used for frosting should be light and delicate. All decorations must be edible and appealing to the eye. The flavor should be pleasing with no positive egg, shortening or flavoring taste. No mixes allowed.
Contest Rules:
- Whole cakes must be submitted.
- No Mixes accepted.
- Cakes must be on bakery cardboard or sturdy cardboard, covered with foil 1" larger and not to exceed 2" larger than the cake.
- Only one entry accepted per Exhibitor.
- Judging will begin promptly at 1:30 pm and the decision of the judges shall be final.
